Dear Sirs,

We the undersigned would like to formally protest the decision to cancel "Issues Etc." from the KFUOam programming lineup. Additionally, we'd like to dispute the termination of Todd Wilken and Jeff Schwarz.

The mission of the LC-MS, and all Christians, is preaching the gospel. Issues Etc. fulfilled this mission by being a Christ-centered and Cross-focused program that stayed true to scripture and the Lutheran Confessions. The archives are a priceless resource to missionaries, chaplains, ministers of all denominations and laypeople.

We call for the reinstatement of these gentlemen to their positions and for the restoration of Issues Etc. to it's regularly scheduled time slots. We ask for the archives of the programing to be preserved for the edification of many.

    • Issues was to me an encouragment, an education, an exposure to ideas I had not heard, and when necessary a kick in the rear. Issues helped me hone my critical thinking skills and reminded me that Christ is at the center. Issues was apologetics for the tough-minded and tender-hearted both, and for those of us who are both at different times.

    • It is time for us to finally wake up as a synod and do something about the erosion of our confessions. This is really about so much more than simply a radio show. This is about our loss of identity as Lutheran Christians. If we do not wake up, wise up, unite and make our stand, the LC-MS as we once knew it will cease to exist. Let this be a call to all who still desire to be a part of a doctrinal synod. Our hour to act is now, lest we desire to launch ourselves into the abyss like Pentecostal lemmings.

    • I didn't always agree with Todd Wilken, but I felt the program addressed issues of depth and doctrinal importance. To eliminate this program in drive time is to damage a valuable potential link to a wide audience.
