THE JAMES THORNTON GROUP IS A I.T TRAINING COMPANY THAT HAS CONNED 100'S OF STUDENTS INTO SIGNING UP, CHARGING STUDENTS FEES OF UPTO 8000 TO DO THESE COURSES. ALL STUDENTS THAT JOINED HAD TAKEN OUT CAREER DEVELOPMENT LOANS AND HAD BEEN LEAD TO BELIEVE THEY WERE GOING TO BE STUDYING FOR 2 YEARS WHICH TURNED OUT TO BE ONLY 6 WEEKS OF INSTRUCTOR LEAD LECTURES.

THE COMPANY ALSO GUARANTEED ALL STUDENTS JOBS WITH A STARTING SALARY OF 18,000 AFTER COMPLETING THE COURSE THEY HAD JOINED. THE MAJORITY OF STUDENTS NOT BEING ABLE TO COMPLETE THEIE COURSES DUE TO THE COMPANY NOW BEING FORCED INTO INSOLVENCY.

IN SIMPLE TERMS NONE OF THE STUDENTS GOT WHAT THEY PAID FOR, THE COMPANY IS DISAPPEARING WITH MOST OF THERE WEBSITES DOWN, AND NO CAMPUSES LEFT TO STUDY ON. THE COMPANY HAS TAKEN HUNDREDS OF STUDENTS FOR THOUSANDS OF POUNDS, WHICH THE BARCLAY BANK IS NOW DEMANDING FROM THE STUDENTS.

THIS PETITION IS TO BE SIGNED IF YOU PERSONALLY AGREE THAT YOU HAVE BEEN MISLEAD, CHEATED, ROBBED AND LIED TO BY THE JAMES THORNTON GROUP.

    • I blame Barclays for not properly checking out James Thornton before giving all the students 8k loans. Barclays must take responsibility and write off the loans, and the JT directors must be taken to court and bled for every penny they have.

    • Im a former employee of JT and worked as a Receptionist at the Birmingham Temple Row branch in 2006, i left due to me believing the "company"was scamming students and various problems with Manoj and Claudia Sneddon (HR manager at the time), you all have my deepest sympathies, if i can be of help to aynone or provide a witness statement than i will be more than happy to do so, Im sure if you have proof that JT was a scam Barcalys can write the debt off, I suppose you could even take Barclays to court for not checking out that JT was a genuine Training Academy as they are partially responsible as they were the ones giving loans to people.

    • I paid James Thornton Group for a Microsoft training and received only half of it. They refused to refund me for the training I did not received. They stole money out of me. It put me into difficulty as I took a student loan to pay for those training which where not provide.

    • They are cheaters and I intend on going to court if needs be. Banks are responsible for verifying companies before doing any business with them the same way they check anyone going into their branches asking for a loan.

    • I took out about 5000 to pay for 3 books and about 2 weeks of useless teaching.They said I could train for 2 years,and now they have dissapeared.The staff new what was going on I could see something wrong with their conduct but could not work it out.I was at victoria in London

    • I got Scammed out of 8k by JTG. I cant afford it. Was promised 2 yrs training of MCSE, MCSA, MCDBA & CCNA in fact got only weeks then told to read basic books that dont provide enough detail to pass exams. Very Mad. Hope Barclays will write off debt!!

    • Took out full CDL loan (8,000 + 2,500 Interest) for all courses (MCSA, MCSE, MCDBA, CCNA, CompA+, CompN+). Final extension on loan June 2010, in a part-time job (NOT in IT) that won't cover re-payments. Done XP MCP only (at home). JTG directors & Barclays should be held responsible. 01-05-10.
