We the undersigned have enjoyed Jack Daniel Tennessee Sipping Whiskey for many years.
We however protest the surreptitious drop in alcohol content over the past several years.
In the past 15 years the proof of Jack Daniels Black label has dropped from 90 to 86 to 80 proof.
In times past the Black Label version was purchased because of it's higher alcohol content. The Green label was always regarded as "Inferior" in quality.
Many have now boycotted the purchase of Jack Daniels Black label feeling that the clandestine drop in alcohol content of the "Black Label" is a breach of trust between Jack Daniel's distillery and the consumer.

We the undersigned petition that Jack Daniel's "Black Label" be returned to it's former glory of 86 - 90 proof.

    • There will come a day when I want my drinks to be alcholic. There will come a day when my liver fails me and I choose to drink no more. There will come a day when I hide in my closet from the evils of the world. Today is not that day, for today I drink. Joke Daniels, may everything that is good and noble in this world smite you down for your treachery and disloyalty.

    • I don't sign this petition lightly. I have been a big fan of JD for years and even visited the distillery in 2001. And now I feel betrayed.

    • Sirs; while it was irritating that you watered your fine Black Label down to 86 from 90 proof, it is unacceptable that you have further reduced it to 80. As a result of this decision on your part, I have stopped purchasing your product, and advise all I encounter to do the same. I will not cease this boycott until and unless you return Black Label to 90 proof.
