The undersigned students of John Marshall Law School respectfully request that the School continue to offer Professor Daniel Piars Constitutional Torts course as an elective. We understand that the course is not currently planned for Spring 2010. However, these students wish to express their interest in the course in hopes that the popularity the course generates will persuade the School make room for Constitutional Torts in the Spring 2010 Course Schedule.
As John Marshall continues to develop and prosper, we believe that diversity among electives offered can help students to cultivate their passions for specific areas of the law. Further, offering a broad range of electives, especially electives about which students are excited, is just another way for the School to promote its credibility to practitioners seeking to hire John Marshall graduates as well as to prospective students.
Moreover, the students of John Marshall regard Professor Piar as among the best professors in the school. The quality of the professors at John Marshall is certainly the Schools greatest attribute. Providing the students with another opportunity to learn from a professor, such as Professor Piar, who ranks highly among a stellar cast can only increase the quality of the education we receive.
By signing this petition, we express our strong interest in the Constitutional Torts course instructed by Professor Piar and our strong interest in increasing the diversity among electives offered at John Marshall. We assert that these strong interests warrant the Administration of John Marshall taking whatever steps necessary to include Constitutional Torts in the Spring 2010 Course Schedule as well as to make the course a permanent fixture in the Schools curriculum.
