- Jodelle Ferland suits Jane better than Dakota Fanning ever would. She is used to playing dark characters and is a better actress for the role. Dakota Fanning has been in too many movies already. She had made around three new movies when she received the role of Jane. Jodelle deserves more attention because not only that Dakota Fanning has been favoured too often by casting agents and movie directors but also because when I (and most other Twilight fans) picture Jane I picture the talented actress who played three characters in Silent Hill. Had Jodelle been given the chance to audition before the part was given to Dakota she would have gotten it for sure. I know that although now the New Moon movie has been completed it is not too late to change the actresses for the following two movies in the Twilight saga. If anyone who reads this knows Dakota Fanning tell her I said congratulations on having the part HANDED to her over an actress of far more talent for the part of Jane!
