We, the student-athletes, parents, coaches and classmates wish to support the right of Jordie, to compete on the Amherst Senior High School 2009 Outdoor Track & Field team without regard to the eligibility regulations set forth by the NYSPHSAA and Section 6 Athletic Council.

We feel this is an extraordinary case and should be an exception to the regulations and urge you to reinstate Jordie to the team.

Scholastic sports provides the student with a place to develop social skills, self esteem, team comraderie and most importantly, to have fun. It would be a disgrace to deny this individual the right to be along side his teammates during his senior year at high school.

    • It's a disgrace to Section 6 to allow this to happen...reinstate Jordie to the Amherst HS Track & Field team!

    • It would be a terrible shame if Jordie and his fellow students were denied the opportunity to see how rules can and should be adjusted when circumstances merit.
