Dear Chief Election Commissioner of India,
This is with respect to your recent decision of including a major part of Kalyan city in the Bhiwandi Loksabha constituency in Maharashtra state when a separate Kalyan Loksabha constituency is in existence.
As a resident of the Kalyan city, I wish to bring to your notice that, this decision is not at all motivating for the residents of Kalyan City.
If not corrected, it will definitely reflect in increased tendency of residents of Kalyan in not voting, as this decision is defeating the purpose of Democracy.
Why would a resident of Kalyan city vote for the neighbor constituency?
I wish to protest strongly on behalf of all the residents of Kalyan city on this regard.
I request you to please revert back your decision and issue corrective orders for including the separated part of the Kalyan city into the Kalyan Loksabha constituency instead of Bhiwandi constituency.

Would it not be unlawful and embarrassing to ask residents of any city (consider yourself voting for the neighboring constituency), when their own city has a separate Loksabha constituency?

- Please reverse this decision. The kalyan area presently under Bhiwandi is ctually the central residential locality ans should be clubbed under Kalyan Loksabha otherwise please change the name of kalyan LS seat to something else. It does hurt our ego when a kalyanite has to vote for Bhiwandi, while a person from Ulhasnagar votes for kalyan.

- I dont protest on this, i am a resident of Bhiwandi, so many years we have been enforced to vote to tribals of Dahanu Parliment constituency, still after creating a new constituency for Bhiwandi still the north Bhiwandi area falls in Palhghar constituency, what is this,???? if Kalyan people are demanding to thier candidates so why we are not.

- None of the canditate (major) are from Kalyan city, inspite of the fact that Kalyan is a bigger city than Bhiwandi. The canditates will be definately more interested to work for their constituency. Such is the apathy, that we even dont know the candidates as no one is bothered about Kalyan. This has really disappointed the voter population of Kalyan and as rightly said will have an adverse effect on the will of kalyanite to vote.
