Dear University of Maryland Latino Alumni Community:

It is with great enthusiasm that we express our interest in officially chartering the Latino Alumni Network (LAN) as an special interest group of the University of Maryland Alumni Association system. The establishment of LAN is long over due and we are confident it will be of great value to our fellow alumni, the College Park community, and will enhance the mission of the the University Alumni Association.

The mission of the University of Maryland Latino Alumni Network (LAN) is to serve as a representative voice for Latino Alumni, assist in the unification of alumni efforts to support the interests of the University of Maryland Alumni Associations mission and enhance the alumni experience through celebrating diversity. LAN exists to support and advance the professional, social and developmental interests of Marylands past, present and future Latino community

In order to complete the charter process we need your help in collecting the signatures of 100 alumni association members who support the official establishment of the Latino Alumni Network.

If you graduated within the last year you can still utilize your one year complimentary alumni association membership to sign this petion.

If you are already an alumni association member but did not graduate in the last year we also ask you to sign this petion.

If you did not graduate in the last year and are an alum of the University of Maryland we ask that you please join us in these efforts by signing this online petition and becoming an official member of the University of Maryland Alumni Association.
