This petition is for the family of Dawn O'Donald.

In July 2008 Dawn Lynn O'Donald was viciously attacked with a knife by her ex common law spouse James McIntyre. She succumbed to her injuries that very night of the attack.

When this tragedy struck the O'Donald family, James' parents, Sharon and Rob McIntyre made an application to the court for custody of Dawn' surviving children.....Navada, Cheyanne and Teslin. These people did not even wait for Dawn to have a funeral, and have instead chosen to increase the suffering of Dawns family.

Dawns mother, Gail O'Donald, currently has custody of Dawns three children. The children are happy, and are recieving counselling and have the support of the community of Wembley, Alberta. They have settled in and are thriving. Dawns younger sister Chandelle Goodall has been an active part in these childrens lives as well, and has also been a positive influence to the children since the death of the childrens mother by the hands of thier father.

This petition is for support, so that these children are not ripped from a home that is loving and supportive. It is believed that removing these children from Gail O'Donald's home would be counter productive to these childrens well-being. Gail O'Donald has been supportive of Rob and Sharon McIntyre seeing the children, and being a part of the childrens lives.

This petition is also for the children, to have the right to make the choice about whether they want to have anything to do with James McIntyre after his release from jail for killing thier mother.

Please sign this petition to support Gail O'Donald and Chandelle Goodall, in thier fight to protect these young impressionable children.....so that they may heal and recieve the love and support they need. These children are an asset and it is well worth it for them to remain in the home of thier maternal Grandmother Gail O'Donald.

    • These children have been through enough trauma, why cause more by uprooting them from an environment in which they have adjusted to and are thriving in.

    • We have spent time in this home with the children with Gail O'donald and know how lucky these young children are to have a Grandmother and Aunt who are giving them a stable warm loving family to be raised in.

    • Those little girls have been through enough already, I realize that James' parents aren't at fault, but those children should not be put in a situation like this.

    • I believe the children should be left where they are.Taking children from a loving, caring home can mess a child up greatly. It only confuses them more.

    • Makes no sence to me to put the children in the home of the killers parents. This would not be in the best interest of the children in any way. It sickens me to think that this could happen. If you put the children in the home of the killers parents, that is taking away their rights to chose what they want to do. That would be forcing them to face the killer and taking away their rights. This is wrong in ever sence of the word.
