Netflix "Watch Now" feature for Linux and Mozilla Firefox Use

We, the undersigned, are current or prospective subscribers of Netflix that would like the "Watch Now" feature available to Linux users. Linux users are part of a new trend in OS use around the world. Interoperability with Linux will be very much appreciated and beneficial to all. To remain partisan by making use of the "Watch Now" feature for Windows users and possibly Mac OS users only, is not a fair practice to your subscribers.

It is also unfair that the only supported browser is Internet Explorer. Firefox has a considerable market share and is a viable alternative for Internet Explorer users.

    • A friend and I repair and rebuild computers. Usually, unless our customers have a restore disk, we usually install ubuntu on the computers we restore. The main drawback is that a few of our customers are netflix subscribers, and they really want to be able to watch their favorite netflix movies while using their recently fixed laptops. It would actually help our business if this works out.

    • Dear Netflix, please add an option that allows Linux users to enjoy your service. I find it hard to believe that such a cutting edge online service such as Netflix does not already support Linux. I didn't know this until after I signed up... sad to have to cancel my membership.

    • I hate that I have to sign into windows in order to watch Netflix. I am slowly trying to drop windows, and the lack of netflix support in Linux is a bit of a deterrent.

    • Being a recent Netflix subscriber I was pretty shocked to find out Linux was not a supported platform. I can stream from my GoogleTV and Android phone, but not my desktop. Come on now.

    • I believe Michael Paez hit the nail on the head. It is unfair to Netflix subscribers that Netflix does not support the 'Watch Instantly' feature for Linux users. Honestly, there is no loss of profit to Netflix, unless Microsoft has their hand in the bag, and dishes some of their profits to Netflix for getting people to use Windows based PC's. For crying out loud already, just support ALL your customers!!!

    • I use netflix on my tv and ps3. but it would be really nice if i could use it on my linux netbook which I carry all over the place. I already pay for the service. There is no reason why I shouldn't get to use the service legally on my linux desktop.
