FireWire ports in Apple consumer notebooks

Are you the Author?
We all love your products, Apple Inc.! But your recently refreshed line of consumer notebooks lacks the possibility to plug in digital audio and video equipment as well as fast mass storage devices. Therefore, we pledge to purchase a new MacBook or MacBook Air if you, the inventor of FireWire technology, would be so kind to bring back FireWire ports to those products.

    • FireWire is a must. Most of my external hardware connects via FW. Why do I have to pay 600 Euros more in the future to get a MacBook with a FW port? I do want and need a small, affordable MacBook WITH FW.

    • fostering creativity to both budget conscious pros and the average person has been the lifeblood of the apple brand for a decade. to pay $700 more for a firewire port is moving in the complete opposite direction of the rest of the creative industries where less is giving you more. will hackintosh if i have to.
