  • Just remember, you tried to kill her before; it didn't work. You tried to get rid of both of them for the 'original'. it failed miserably. Killing MJ is like killing Lois Lane. the fans DO NOT want to see it. (me and my friends started reading spider-man when we were 13 AFTER Peter and MJ were married, it never bothered us at all)

  • I love Spider-Man... but his marriage has become a highlight for me. It's the only thing that has been consistantly likeable in the past few story arcs... She goes... the marriage goes... and seriously... I'd be too pissed to keep reading. FYI - Adam-Troy Castro KNOWS how to write a GREAT Mary Jane... READ the Sinister Six trilogy... the characters are AMAZING. PLEASE. STOP whining and wasting potential!

  • How about, instead of focusing on the soap opera aspect that you just wish was still there, focus on the missing supporting cast that's disappeared completely as of late. A single Peter just means more time will be spent on him trying to get a date, and less on the characters I actually want to see and *gasp* classic villain fights.

  • So you are trying to make Peter seem young and hip to appeal to younger readers, right? Wasnt that the reasoning behind the Clone Saga? And here I'd hoped that you guys had learned your lesson about making drastic and unnecessary changes to Spider-Man. Keep it up guys and you'll lose a lot of readers.

  • I have stuck with Marvel and Spider-Man through a lot of really bad stories these past several years, but if Mary Jane is killed again or her character is further tarnished, I will never buy another Marvel comic. There are several problems with current Spider-Man stories, but she is not one of them., and their romance is one of the most memorable and important in comics history. If you want to restore quality to the books, stop trying to "shake Peter's world to the core" every month and focus on good, consistent storytelling. Killing or tarnishing one of the most loved characters you have is not the answer.
