Infinity Ward's MW2 disabling of Party Chat for Xbox360

This is an Xbox Live Community Petition to Infinity Ward to persuade them to reexamine their position on the disabling of Party Chat within their new release: Modern Warfare 2.

As avid fans of the Modern Warfare franchise we are dismayed at the decision to preclude the use of Party Chat with in MW2. All the reasons for such are too numerous to name but we feel that removing an integral part of the gaming experience in order to prevent an extreme minority from cheating or being unsporting is indeed the wrong decision.

We the undersigned appreciate your consideration in this matter.

    • I use party chat to talk with friends while playing Team Deathmatch.. usually not even talking about the game. Without party chat I am going to have to mute every other play besides my friends in each game when we play.. which will be incredibly annoying. I dont want to have to listen to random idiots in game while I am trying to play with my friends and have a good time

    • If you must disable it, only do it for S&D. Although I'd rather have you keep it in all game types and for S&D remove the third person spectating and stick to first person only.

    • If it must be kept at all limit it to search and destroy matches. Myself and many others are playing this game to have a good time, and blocking party chat only caters to the very competitive players, amongst whom only a small number will resort to cheating.
