NBC can show swimming heats live, but does not show 100 meter finals where World Records are smashed. Instead major countries like the US are having the results spoiled by news website such as Yahoo or calls from people in third world countries. Gymnastics qualifying rounds are being shown live in their full length, but events such as the Women's 10,000 meters where an American set an American record gets less than 20 seconds coverage. I do have much respect for any olympic sport because it takes much dedication to qualify for the olympics, but I think track and field should be receiving more coverage than what little it is getting. Many track and field olympians say their inspiration for running was watching previous athletes on TV winning olympic medals. Unfortunately this is not happening much more due to the lack of TV coverage. At least air the finals live, and not on a delay for the rest of the world to ruin it for US citizens eager to see the race live.

    • Not just track but I wish more sports being televised live. The coverage has been absolute garbage.

    • As a major television network that has exclusive coverage of the Olympics, you should honor it and show major sporting events such as Track & Field LIVE. The Olympics does not revolve around Michael Phelps. If you cannot do the job properly give it to another network!!!!

    • Even if NBC decides not to air all the track meets on TV at the time they are run, we should at least be able to watch them online.

    • The lack of T&F coverage or its coverage at ridiculous hours was disappointing and unfathomable. Does management really believe that badminton, and beach volleyball will garner more attention than the 1500, 10,000 or the marathon?
