We request the New Zealand Government, the Auditor Generals Office, and the Parliamentary Commissioner of the Environment, to conduct inquiries into the administration of the Whangamata marina consents.

We demand the above named, to examine breaches and variations of the Whangamata marina consents. Noting the strict conditions as laid down by previous Minister David Benson-Pope pertaining to the Project. Some concerns listed are:
1. The un lining of the marina channel, and the impacts and effects on the harbour and the world famous Whangamata Bar, monitoring of the bar, a stipulation of the previous minister.
2. Non notified consents to dump toxic Marine Sediments onto a flood plain, feeding directly back into the harbour system.
3. Non compliance to recreate the wetland, fed by natural springs in the mitigated area, which had since been vandalised by marina society members and supporters.
4. The extermination of an absolutely protected and sparse species habitat, Oligosoma moco skink, without consent, or Wild life permits to do so.
5. The complete disregard of notifying Hauraki Maori (an obligation) and the trespassing of their representatives from the site.
