  • I do not fully understand why the Olympic committee would keep out softball, but if it's because of the USA domination, then why during the Russian dominance in gymnastics, why wasn't that removed. Other countries are just now starting to improve their game and at some point I feel it will be a real competition...please reconsider and give it another chance. Please keep the dream alive.

  • So what do our daughters do now? The ones that have given up any kind of a social life, the ones who spend every weekend at a tournament and most weeknights in league play. What do we tell our daughters who have harboured the dream of being an Olympian above all else? Its' a little late to become world class at another sport

  • This is a great sport for girls of all ages and it's something they can build a future on. To have taken it out of the Olympics was like telling all these girls that their particular sport does not count for any thing and that's wrong. Just look at all the softball greats that have come from this sport......Dot Richardson, Lisa Fernandez, Jenny Finch, Michelle Smith, Cat Osterman - try telling these ladies that softball doesn't matter!!!
