Petition to Remove Oil & Gas from Wall Street - NYMEX

Imagine how much you would be paying for a gallon if milk were to be traded on the New York Merchantile Exchange...probably $50 or more. Farmers and grocery stores wouldn't be setting up the price you pay, traders would. It doesnt cost anymore to pump a barrel of oil from the ground now than it did 10 years ago, but because Oil is a publically traded NYMEX traders and Hedge Fund Managers set the price and every little news is an opportunity for hedge funds, oil companies, and oil producing countries to make billions at your expense. There is no shortage of oil, there is no disruption in supply, everything related to Oil and gas prices is mere speculation. If we take the speculation out, then we will be paying a fair price for oil and gas again. The best way to keep speculators from increasing oil prices unnecessarily to make billions is for Congress to take it out of the New York Merchantile Exchange http://www.nymex.com
