Keep Pocket Disco At 10PM

We the undersigned wish for the RTRFM programme Pocket Disco to remain at its timeslot of 10pm-12am on Monday nights, and are in opposition to the programme shifting to the later 11pm-1am timeslot currently being proposed by RTRFM.

Pocket Disco - which has been running every week for nearly three years and commands local interstate and international listeners - is a popular, informative, and necessary part of our local dance music community. Pocket Disco needs to be heard at a reasonable mid-evening time (10pm or prior) so as to remain accessible and relevant to fans such as ourselves.

    • As some one who has been a guest on the show a number of times, and listens quite regularly, it's simply an injustice to move the radio show to a later slot. The show is playing music currently in vogue in the bigger "smaller" venues in Perth, such as Shape and The Manor, and supporting local acts and DJ's that are going to do bigger things, like Shazam. If there is a need to move the slot for this show it should only ever be to an earlier time, not a later.

    • Pocket Disco is the only program that delivers disco/electro/nu-disco music on RTRFM. This music has a huge, growing audience, and by moving the time of the program back you will be causing undue hardship to the program and forcing an audience that wants to support this great program to have to stay up to 1am! Given that many of your programs cater for far more 'fringe' audiences, it simply does not make sense to disadvantage a program that caters for such a wide audience.
