Julie Carpenter was fired from her job as a school bus driver and her neighbors are requesting her eviction because of her religious beliefs as a self-proclaimed 'witch'. Carpenter is the wife of Jonathon Sharkey, a 'vampire' who is campaigning for governor.

According to the U.S. Constitution we have the RIGHT to our own individual religious beliefs.

By signing this petition you agree that this is ILLEGAL, and the parties involved should be held responsible for their Un-Constitutional Actions.

    • If we cannot allow our number one original freedom, what have we become? Stand up for your rights and don't be a bigot all because something is different than you. America must have freedoms.

    • This is a highly unjust occurance. This nation was allegedly founded on principles of freedom, among them being the freedom of religion. Ms Carpenter's religion is not harmful, nor is it any less valid a religion than any "mainstream" religion out there. A person's religious affiliation has NO bearing on how well they can do thier job, and should not be a reason for being dismissed from said job. To do so is a complete violation of basic civil rights and should not be permitted to continue.

    • This is wrong, the constitution guarantees religious freedom, it does not specify CHRISTIAN religious freedom!

    • The Extreme Religious Right Movement has tried to cram there beliefs down our throats and erode our freedom to worship freely for long enough. They are gaining way too much power over the last few years. It's time we did something about it. It's time we put an end to this discrimination so we can all live the way Americans where meant to live.

    • I am signing this petition simply because I believe that all people have the right to worship freely in this country and I am a Christian.... We have the right in America to follow our hearts, our minds and the paths we choose.

    • We have our freedoms, set down by the Constitution. That something like this can still happen after all we've overcome in this country disappoints me.
