Opera as an alternate Web browser on Playstation 3 (PS3)

Please port your Opera Web browser to the Sony Playstation 3 (PS3). The PS3 users are desperate to get a full-fledged Web browser. The current built-in default browser is extremely slow and only offers basic features. Sony is aware of the problem and so far it did not do much about it. The PS3 users had an option to install Linux as "Other OS" and get an alternate Web browser, but Sony discontinued this option. Thus, the PS3 users are left with no other choice.

Opera is the ideal Candidate to make a Web browser for PS3 as it already has a PowerPC version and as it offers a Web browser to the PS3 rival, the Nintendo Wii.

    • please update or change the browser on the ps3 and psp as it is just such a bad web browsing experiance and it also effects the way programs like the bbc iplayer and itv/ channel4 players. it's so slow and awkward also there is no flash support for the latest versions.

    • i dont have a internet capable pc and im dying for opera for ps3. thing is if opera was available for ps3, less people would be inclined to install custom firmware.

    • i think this would be a very good idea as the native briwser on the PS3 is sluggish and slow. i am very confident to this as i am a PC user who uses Opera as the default browser.
