We, the undersigned, feel that the episode of the FOX reality series "So You Think You Can Dance" that was aired on June 28, 2007 was deliberatly mean and unnessecarially prejudicial towards Jessi Peralta.
If you are a "So You Think You Can Dance" fan, please could you take the time to sign this petition, and increase our chances of getting a reasonable explanation for why Jessi was eliminated to rudely. Every other contestant was told why they were being eliminated. The viewers were counting on the judges to realize what it took for Jessi to come back to dancing so soon after being hospitalized. If Jessi does have a medical condition that makes it impossible for her to continue on the show then we as viewers want to know this.
We want to have some sort of explanation. Also, we feel that Jessi deserves an apology for the way that she was treated on live television tonight. She was caught off guard just as much as the viewers were and she did not deserve to be treated like this.
If these issues are not resolved on the next episode of this show which airs on Wednesday, July 3rd; the undersigned viewers will no longer be watching this series. Television viewers are the ones who decide what we want to see and when we tune in to watch this DANCING show we do not expect to see people who have dedicated their lives to dance being treated like Jessi was. We enjoy this show so much, and so far this season it seems as if the producers have a wish for the series to end. There are many many other issues that are upsetting to the undersigned viewers, but the issue of Jessi is the one that has caused us to unite in this action.
We know that the SYTYCD execs view the forums and therefore they will very quickly find this petition. The more people that sign this petition the more likely we are to get some explanation.

- Jessi is a beautiful dancer. She deserves another chance on SYTYCD. She put her heart and soul into this competition. She at least deserves an explanation as to why she was voted off by the judges! Also-I do not think she should have even had to dance for life because she was not in the bottom 3 couples. Just because she was in the hospital - she had to be voted off!?

- Jessi has thusfar demonstrated herself to be the most versatile female dancer on the show, and to remove her like this is unconscionable. Her solo was better than Sara's, whose style is closest to her own, and was far better than what either Lauren or Anya offered to save themselves. Anya barely danced at all, so why exactly was Jessi removed?

- This week's decisions should be reversed due to the unfair cut of Jesse from the competition. Obviously, there will be a need for another male dancer, so the decision should just be voided and all the couples should compete next week. The judges need to realize that we do not like dancers we did not vote into the bottom three being cut. Nor do we appreciate judges keeping dancers such as Cedric at the expense of more qualified dancers.

- I personally think Jessi deserves a chance to be judged by America, not just by the 3 judges, sorry you gave Cedrick 2 weeks of special treatment & let 2 awesome dancers go. How about Giving Jessi 1 chance for America to be her Judge & Jury, she wasn't even placed in the bottom 3 by us, Please give us that chance. She was in the hospital, something out of her control. c'mon you guys make it right please
