Manpowers new sick/absence policy needs to be better.
As a contractor working at IDC, IBM. You have no union to turn to when treated unfairly. This is my voice and you are welcome to join in.
I feel the following:
The IBM-doctor should be here every day.
- If I get sick on a monday, with this new policy, I have to travel to a doctor, pay for the visit myself and then report to Manpower to be able to get my salary, which by then will be cancelled out by the cost of the doctor I visited.
If that's the case, then I feel like I don't have to go to the doctor anyway because it'll give me... Nothing.
If every employee has the posibility of having a doctors note upon sickness, then every single sickness would be genuine aswell, and there would be no need for the "Maximum of 48 hours paid within a calendar year"
Because every single sick day would be honest, and fair towards everyone.
