Let's honor Rutgers graduates.

Paul Robeson, '19, third Black graduate, first Black football player, valedictorian, first Rutgers pro, lawyer, singer, actor, civil rights activist.

Frank Burns, '49, highest Rutgers NFL draft pick, former Eagles quarterback, winningest coach in Rutgers history.

Jerry Izenberg, '52, the dean of New Jersey sportswriter since 1951, Korean war veteran.

None of these famous graduates are honored by Athletics Department of the Birthplace of American football. Let's rename the stadium, "Paul Robeson Stadium", let's name the field "Frank Burns Field" and let's name the press box and media center, "Jerry Izenberg Media Center".

Go R.U.

    • I'd prefer the stadium named for Frank Burns and the field for Paul Robeson, but agree RU should honor all 3.
