    • I have a 2006 Jeep Liberty. Just had my rear driver side window break. Didn't really think much of it until I got on the internet and have now read the 100's of other who have had this same problem, dating back to 2002. Chrysler - Jeep, you should be recalling this part. You have changed the design of the regulator so much, that now you have to buy the window glass as well, even if it's not broken. This problem has even happen to the same windown, time and again. It's time to recall this thing.

    • I have already had one fixed, so not only do I advocate for a recall, but also a reimbursement on any expenses incurred to have this defect repaired.

    • What is reall dumb about all of this, is instead of fixing the piece that needs fixed you have to buy the whole entire unit. which is still plastic and will just ware out again. but there are fixes if you have the correct yr liberty. look up Steiger Performance. They have a window regulator repair kit that solves the issue. Feel free to email me with any questions.

    • Just to let you know that I have a 2006 Liberty. 2 days after my warranty expired my left rear window ent out. A mth later to the day the right one went out. I sent a pretty strong e-mail to Chrysler indicating if they could be bailed out so can the consumer. I received a e-mail and was informed that the service magr at the dealership has the power to fix it. I contacted Earnhart Dodge and informed them that I contacted Chrysler and that they had the power fix this. I had both windows fixed for $100.00. I alos contacted the Attorny General and 2 TV stations. I think if all of us contacted the Attorney General and TV stations it might get our point across. If it weren't for me going straight to the top I would have had to fork out the $$$$ for both windows. Contact Chrysler at customerassist@chrysler.com and let them know about this and maybe they could do something.

    • OBTW... IF your power window is NOT broken yet, you can simply "break into" your own vehicle by pressing your hands flat on the glass and with a little effort (and dry glass) you can easily break that stupid little clip inside the regulator, thus opening the window... should you need to. Security anyone???
