Dear Governor Brashear -
On behalf of your constituents throughout the state who believe that our animal brethren deserve, at a minimum, humane and compassionate treatment, we wish to thank you for finally making Romeo's Law a reality. You have certainly won our admiration and respect. We appreciate your commitment to doing the right thing for the residents - both two-legged and four-legged alike - of the Bluegrass State. We also extend our gratitude to the many legislators, particularly Tom Buford (Nicholasville) who tirelessly worked to ensure criminals who abuse animals are treated as felons and justly sentenced as such under the law. This was a fine example of bi-partisanship among our legislative and executive branch for the greater good. Thank you!
