    • Leaving Hangar One exposed to the elements, because of delays in funding, will make restoration of this irreplaceable landmark more difficult and more costly.

    • I grew up in the shadow of Hangar One, having been born on the Peninsula, and living there for most of my life. My Grandma was a Rosie The Riveter there during The War, and I served our Navy there for four years. The Hangar is a Symbol of our will to reach beyond our grasp. It is an Art Deco symbol of the birth of Silicon Valley. It is important to keep it, as a big reminder of our ability to realize our dreams...even if they are bigger than life.

    • To me, Hanger One is a real historic landmark, and leaving it "naked" is both shameful and disrespectful of the US Navy's heritage.

    • A bay area icon. The hanger 1 makes Moffet a true land mark. Time in Navy and attended many USN airshows there. Would also bring jobs to the area.

    • I served at Moffett Field in the early eighties, though my unit occupied hangar two, hangar one was the landmark I looked for when returning from a flight. to destroy it would be an insult to those who built it as well as those who served in it or in it's shadow.

    • Is the hangar a landmark designation? I serve on the City of Napa Cultural Commission, and know that under NEPA & CEQA Federal/CA environmental law), they can't just tear it down if it does/could meet Federal requirements for a historic structure.

    • I was stationed at Moffett Field from 1972 through 1992, and spent may a day in hangar one. This is of historical significance and embodies the history and traditions of the US Navy. It would be a travesty to destroy this historical landmark. Please help save this icon.
