Expansion of Ball State Shuttle Service

As the footpath through the grass from the stadium parking lot to Scheidler apartments demonstrates, students are trekking across a busy thoroughfare every Sunday evening. Please do not wait for a serious traffic accident to address this issue.
We understand that the main purpose of the shuttle service is to provide transportation to and from the commuter parking lots, but students who do not have cars also use the shuttle service. If those students wish to go to campus on Sundays, they are faced with the prospect of crossing busy McGalliard without the aid of a crosswalk or even a sidewalk. McGalliard can have heavy traffic and at night the journey across McGalliard to Scheidler poses a serious safety risk.
PLEASE EXPAND THE SHUTTLE SERVICE TO AT LEAST ONE STOP IN SCHEIDLER APARTMENTS ON SUNDAYS. Lets not wait for the footpath to be decorated by roadside crosses.
We, the undersigned, are concerned about the lack of transportation to and from Scheidler Apartments on Sunday afternoons.

    • As a staff member at Bracken Library, I can assure you that one of the most frequent comments that we receive on the weekends is that it is an enormous inconvenience to the students of Schiedler to have no transportation. If the University administrators are truly interested in students' wellnes, it is necessary that they should consider if they themselves ever put their students in harm's way.
