We the undersigned, feel that the band Wings fits the criteria stated below and is deserving of a nomination by the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame for induction into the Performer category.

"Artists become eligible for induction 25 years after the release of their first record. Criteria considered includes the influence and significance of the artist's contribution to the development and perpetuation of rock and roll." -- Rock and Roll Hall of Fame

Wings became eligible in 1996. The first Wings album, "Wildlife" was released December 7, 1971.

Some Wings statistics:

In 1973, Wings had their first #1 single with "My Love" off the "Red Rose Speedway" album which also went to #1 as did "Band On the Run" in 1973.
The "Venus and Mars "album released in 1975 had many hit singles including: "Listen To What The Man Said" which went to #1.
The 1978 "London Town" album hit single "With A Little Luck" went to #1.
"Wings Over America" (triple album) released December 1976 went to #1.

    • I actually got into Wings first and they led me to The Beatles. I don't see how a group this successful could possibly not be included. They were huge. Remember the overfly video shot of all the semi trucks rolling down the highway with all the gear?
