  • Not much else I can say, the front page pretty much said it all, but here in New Zealand, we barely get any anime, I've come to suspect the corruption in america is the cause of this, I seriously wish anime would stick around, It for one, is NOT evil(as the front page mentioned), It's just a form of art.

There's all sorts of anime out there and just becaue u might not like 1 or 2 doesn't give u the right to ban it. No one should be able to decided what people can or cant watch, that's your choice and your choice alone.

  • I love anime, and I can think of so many other people out there that love it too. Banning anime is completely pointless. I don't think there's even logical reasoning behind it! The only thing I understand is banning anime porn, but some people like it, and it's not like they're forcing you to look at it. Same with regular anime shows. Me and my friends stay up every night to watch Inuyasha, Big O, and Wolf's Rain. We would be heartbroken if we didn't get to see our favorite shows! I go through with the day because I know that at night I will be able to confide in my favorite anime characters. Though it may sound dumb, it's true and there are SO many other people that feel like that! So please, DON'T BAN ANIME!!!!!!!!

  • Holy Crap!! The person that started this Ban Anime petition should be dragged into a dark alley and have to deal with Inuyasha. I mean anime is my life. You can even learn stuff from anime shows. Like in Rurrouni Kenshin, it shows how rough the times were in the Meiji era and how the Japanese use to live. Anyways theres a lot of culture and history you can learn from anime, aside from the raw action and suspense you get from it. LONG LIVE ANIME!!!!!

  • Anime is a different form of entertainment. It educates us into situations we cannot understand. We are exposed to American entertainment without knowledge of what's around us. Anime gives us diversity and a new look to the genres we love.

  • i find banning Anime very offensive, i've loved anime since i was little the first ever anime i watched was Ronin Warriors (that show still kicks ass!) don't ban ANIME!!!! keep it going, anime is art!!!! Simpsons isn't, Dragonball Z is art, South Park isn't, ban shows like South Park, Blue Collar TV, Drawn Together, Napoleon Dynamite (the list goes on and on) but don't ban anime...

  • I agree. Even though I am not japanese, anime should not be aimed at as being the "trash that poplutes the young mind". There are others such as playboy that are being marketed EVERYWHERE on the streets (Las Vegas, Los Angeles) and the porn industry that won't stop sending e-mails, fliers, and pop-ups (to which I am getting now and are stubbornly persisiting in their quest to TRY and get me to buy buy buy) all over the streets and net. And if someone such as a young child was to get there hands on these, it had probably went through the parents' knowledge as I've heard when PARENTS suggest their kids where the littliest amount of cloth known as clothes and pay tons of money for it. So, don't ban anime. It's the entertainment and fashion that is going around about which is "popular" to where and who "is".
