Dear SGPC President

Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa, Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh!

The Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee has submitted a false, wrong, misleading and unnecessary affidavit before the Punjab and Haryana High Court, defining a Sehajdhari Sikh in such a way as to cut at the very fundamentals of Sikhism. This has upset Sikhs worldwide.

This is in complete violation of Sikh principles, Sikh Rehat Maryada, various resolutions of the SGPC itself and the recommendations of the SGPC-constituted expert committee.

I urge you to withdraw the impugned affidavit immediately.

    • SGPC alone has no authority to define who is Sikh or not. Only SARBAT KHALSA can define a SIKH. Sikhs in over 135 other countries were never consulted.
