Professor Jeff Stamps teaching contract with UND College of Business has not been renewed for the fall semester of 2009. This is a major loss for the UND Entrepreneurship students as well as the entire university. Professor Stamp is a huge asset to the students across campus, and students need to do everything in our power to keep him at UND. By his actions and strong record, Dr. Stamp has shown to be committed to UND, the undergraduate entrepreneurship program and to growing the graduate entrepreneur program. To retain one of the best professors we have, students must pull together to show the administration it is important to us that he continues to be a key educational leader in one of the Universitys top programs. When your team brings home a national championship four years in a row, you keep the team together.

Since 2005, Professor Stamp has played a key role in helping the Entrepreneurship program be rated in the top 1\% of Entrepreneurship programs in the nation ranked by Princeton Review and Entrepreneur magazine. This success is due in large part to the unique teaching style of Professor Stamp as well as his real world entrepreneurial experiences that bring a key perspective to the way that students think about entrepreneurship. Not only does Professor Stamp have a great way of teaching, but he is one of the most easily accessible teachers on campus. He can be contacted at any time seven days a week and is always willing to help, even during weekends and summer break. Stamp's commitment to students is extraordinary as his knowledge of innovation and entrepreneurship and his ability to teach.

These are a few of the reasons why students need to show the University how much it means to us to bring back Professor Stamp. Show your support for Stamp by signing a petition and bring it to the administration's attention.

    • I took one class with Dr. Stamp and I changed my major to Entrepreneurship. Stamp opens your eyes to the complex facets of business and empowers you with skillsets students apply immediately upon leaving the classroom. My time spent in Dr. Stamp's class has been one of the most important factors in developing my competitve edge in the marketplace.

    • Stamp is the most valuable teacher in UND History. Not only does he use a unique method of teaching that engages students and helps them learn by experience, he is available to help and knowledgeable in entrepreneurship. I was very disappointed to learn that his contract had not been renewed. I learned more from the one class that I took from Stamp than I did in the collective courses I took over the years at UND. This is a major loss for the University, the entrepreneurship program, and the students that were looking forward to taking classes from this brilliant professor.

    • I am currently a student at UND. I am a Entrepeneur major but am thinking of switching now that Professor Stamp is no longer with the program. I have heard nothing but great things about him and i hope i get the chance to take some courses with him.

    • If it were not For Dr. Stamp I would not be where I am today. He changed my perspective on how college classes should be taught and what education should provide for students. I would follow that teacher to any other University to continue my entrepreneurial education. In my opinion UND would lose a great asset if they do not resign this professor for next semester.

    • Stamp IS the reason Entrepreneurship at UND has gotton National recongnition. If UND hopes to remain competitive, and graduate outstanding student entrepreneurs, Stamp must return to campus. Stamp is passionate about his students at UND, and has proven to myself and others that he is willing to go to the extreme to teach students how to become effective decision makers and leaders.

    • I took Dr. Jeff Stamp's Entrepreneur course my senior year at UND. The information I learned in his class has helped me more than all of my other courses combined in the current position I hold as a Director at the IDEA Center in Bismarck, ND. Because of his one class, I have continued to be involved with entrepreneurship and am helping entrepreneurs everyday as my profession. He truly knows how to communicate with students, entrepreneurs and economic developers effectively to assist them in succeeding in entrepreneurial endeavors. It is my recommendation that he continues to be a part of the Entrepreneurship program at UND and has been a huge influence in the success of the program thus far.

    • As a transfer student, Jeff Stamp and the Entrepreneurship program is the top reason why I am at UND. Jeff is very accessible to reach. I'm not even one of his in-classroom students, yet oustide of school, he is constantly coaching and mentoring me to be a better person and student. Also, another point to make is because of my transfering process at UND, Stamp has introduced me to several new members at UND and influenced me to become an active member at the University. His efforts have helped me to become an asset to the University. Just remember, I'm not the only one he has helped...
