Congress of The United States of America

The 26th anniversary of a law that discriminates against a group that rightfully should be American citizens is approaching. (Public Law 97-359 Act of 10/22/82)

Is a child fathered by a U.S. citizen from Japan or The Philippines any less deserving of U.S. citizenship than a child fathered by a U. S. citizen in Thailand, Vietnam, Korea, Laos or Cambodia?
The purpose of this petition is to ask Congress to revisit Public Law 97-359 Act of 10/22/82.

Demands of the petition:

1. That Congress draft legislation to include Amerasians from Japan and The Philippines as beneficiaries of Public Law 97-359 Act of 10/22/82.
2. Whereas American servicemen are still deployed to these countries, that there be no fixed time frame.
3. No child fathered by a United States citizen should be denied equal
treatment under the laws of this country.

    • I found out I had a daughter 2 years ago and filed a I-130 to bring her to the US. It has been two yeas and the dates for processing the I-130 is still the same. The thing that really gets me is the fact that a non- US citizen can get thier childern here fast the we can. Whats up with that!

    • It is time we bring our children of our own blood home, before we bring iligal people here who have no blood roots. These children are not wanted in the Philipines, it is a disgrace to our country and our children to leave them there.
