This petition is to the NFL. We ask the NFL to review this petition & to please act on it for the love of your viewers and fans of the NFL.
On the date Octobert 11, 2009 the game (The Baltimore Ravens vs The Cincinnati Bangles) viewers and fans of the NFL tuned in to watch a much anticipated rivalry & possibly one of the best divisional games of the year. But sadly those who tuned in to the game were in for more than they have expected. During most football games there are always times where fans dont agree with the play calling & sometimes there is mistakenly bad play calling by referees. This is a natural part of the NFL + Football and it can be accepted that there will be times plays wont go your way & there will be a call you wont like from time to time.
But the game we all viewed on this day took on more than just bad play calling; it was more than obvious that the referees of the game had a motivation other than calling a fair game. During the game there were many obvious penaltys that should have been called against the Bangles yet none were called, these penalties were 100\% obvious to everyone who watched the game besides some how the referees who called the game. Now on the other end the Ravens had penalty after penalty many of them just completely false & many way beyond what should have taken place. The game everyone hoped to see was completely ruined in its entirety by the calls made and the game was then unfairly handed to the Cincinnati Bangles, who had the possibility of winning the game fairly, but due to the unfair play calling we will now never know. Some have gone as far as to say the referees have been paid, to the game was completely rigged. Though we all agree for some reason or another the game was completely thrown by the referees! we do have hope that the NFL would not have any part of such a thing & that the NFL will acknowledge what has happen in this game & that you the NFL will correct what has happened and punish those involved swiftly .
It has come to most people attention that the wife of the coach of the bangles passed away and even us fans feel for the coachs loss. But that does not in any way make it fair to make sure a team wins unfairly just because of a personal loss by the means of cheating. I really do hope this is not the new policy and way for the NFL as do all the signatures who have signed on to this petition. We tune in to watch a sport, not to see something scripted or unfairly played. If this is allowed to happen once, it will occur again in the future to other teams & that would make it really not worth watching a sport that is fixed like this game was.
We the fans of the NFL ask you, the NFL to do what is fair in this situation, as we hope the NFL would have no tolerance for such practices of cheating, Game rigging, & unfair practices to give another team a unfair advantage to win. We ask the NFL to review the game mentioned in this article, review the entire disgrace that was allowed to occur. We believe that the Baltimore Ravens along with head coach John Harbaugh deserve a public apology & that the referees that handled the game need to be fired & that the game should be either replayed in its entirely or the game should not count as a win or loss for either team, it should be as if they have never been played in the first place. This game was a disgrace to everything football & to the National Football League, lets not also forget the fans that paid to see the game.
Furthermore many of the signatures here also ask the NFL to take a harder look in the management & practices used when issuing personal fouls resulting from hits, such as the penalty & fine Ngata acquired from a hit on Tom Brady as well as the personal foul Ray Lewis received during game mentioned above. When we tune in to watch football we are looking to watch football not touch football or anything else other than the full contact sport that is football after all its football, these penalties to many of us were uncalled for due partly to the nature of the game & also the situation they were in at the time.
All of the signatures on the petition urge the NFL to take action because this should have never taken place! We all do believe that if the NFL ignores this petition and the events that have taken place on this day. We the fans will be lead to believe that the NFL supports and condoned this type of activity & that many games to come will also be effect by such practices. Thus most of us will ultimately lose most of the respect we have for the NFL & anything that would continue sponsor such a company that condones cheating within its sport. This will lead most of us to no longer View any NFL program or to buy any product from the NFL or its sponsors! Please do not allow these activitiess to continue for the sake of the sport & the NFL! We the Fans Sign for the sake of the NFL & for that which is fair!

- This isn't football. All the rules set in place are to allow offenses to thrive and to severly handcuff the capabilities of defenses. How can you play defense if your not ever allowed to touch an offensive player even if accidently. Every year the refs seem to becoming more and more the reason for the outcome for games with their horrible calls. It's disgusting to watch and makes me sick and yet these guys get so mamy calls wrong and get to keep their job amd aren't even reprimanded for their screw ups. Of course they'll make bad calls when theyknow there will be no concequences for their actions. The NFL is becomig a joke and is losing it's credibility!

- I have been a season tickets holder for NFL games for 13 years and may never attend another NFL game or buy merchandise again. I also think that these games are fixed and equate NFL to professional wrestling.

- I have serious sour grapes. 257 yards of offense to 400. That obvious fumble the Bengals should have gotten was a rip off.

- Yeah, the NFL was really against you when they listened to your whining about playing night games in Pittsburgh. The Ravens will always be a second level team because they blame others for their own mistakes. In public, like crybaby losers. Yeah, Ray shouldn't have been called for headhunting Ochocinco, yeah sure. Move those chains, squeal!

- Nobody got robbed more than Miami did last night against the Jets, but see, unlike the Cryvens, Miami didn't let the refs stop them from winning. Instead of crying, they sucked it up at crunch time and shoved it down the Jets' throats. Maybe Cry Lewis and the girls can learn something, you know the "big bad" Ravens. Boo hoo.

- Little tip for you... next time you want to go making up a petition for the uh, good of the game, try not to make it so one-sided to only YOUR team. Replay the game? Why because your guys came out on the wrong side? Yeah like this thing would exist in the first place if Baltimore had won.

- I am in agreement with the petition, the only exception being that I think the game should count. I understand the rules of the NFL and even if the game was tainted by outside influences it should still count as a played game. Please Mr. Goodell, administer some justice for this outrage and hold your league referees accountable for their actions ...

- the NFL needs to seriously look at the refs and if they make a bad call then the refs should be fined.
