Despite the demise of Iron Lore, its most successful products, Titan Quest and Immortal Throne, still stand strong today as arguably the best games in their genre.

Titan Quest has a steady fanbase that is very active 3 years after the release date. There have been several big releases and numerous small ones from the modding community, which have attracted interest in the game from both in- and outsiders. The fanpatch has approximately 25,000 downloads. It has renewed interest in the game. Mods such as Lilith and the Masteries Mod, as well as mods that are still under construction have drawn and still draw a lot of interest and make this game more attractive.

Although the developers of Titan Quest and Immortal Throne have left us with several great modding tools, these tools are still limited. Although great tools, they don't allow us to fix some of the more severe problems -particularly those that affect multiplayer experience. We believe the popularity of this game can be greatly improved by making these fixes the fanpatch has already proven that weve got tons of people willing to do straight-up labor for Titan Quest - don't turn down all this free work. And as Diablo III nears, interest in Titan Quest continues to grow. There's a large potential to increase the player base. Having access to the source code would go towards improving that at no cost to THQ.

As far as weve been told, the source code is not in use anymore and lies around somewhere in THQ, collecting dust. Since its not being used for anything, that means theres no risk in releasing the source code. The source code is sufficiently dated to have no production value. We would ask you to release the source code so we can continue to develop even better adjustments to the game which will indubitably draw people to this game. We do not, in any way, ask for THQ to support the to-be released tools and/or source code.

If the source code is released, the Titan Quest community will not forget that THQ has supported this game so well, which will reflect well upon THQs brand name.

To sum it up, the release of the source code of Titan Quest will be beneficial for both parties. For THQ this will mean:
- Low costs
- No risks
- Increased sales of Titan Quest and Immortal Throne
- Happy fan base

Summary:
We, the fans of Titan Quest, ask you to release the source code of Titan Quest: Immortal Throne to its fans. We believe its mutually beneficial for THQ and the Titan Quest community if this is done.

    • True. Very, very true. I think THQ is already one of the most user-friendly and professional publishers out there - this will only increase their reputation.
