Televise the Paralympic Games

The Paralympic Games are an international level sporting event that was created to parallel the Olympic Games and let people with physical disability showcase their athletic abilities. By not working out a deal to televise the Paralympics, NBC and the USOC are quite simply discriminating against those athletes. These athletes deserve to be seen on TV just as much as any Olympic athlete does. Not only are the Paralympics just as competitive as the Olympics but they would also be very educational for the general public because people would see just how much people with physical disabilities can achieve despite their disabilities.

    • There is no excuse for not televising these games. People with physical disabilities that have earned the right to compete in the Paralympics through hard work and dedication deserve to be seen on tv just like the Olympic athletes.

    • Could you imagine if they refused to televise athletes based on their religion, race, ethnicity, gender? That would be called discrimination in this day and age! There have been a lot of strides made for the rights differently abled people, but we still have a long way to go. Thanks for being part of the solution by creating this awareness and petition!
