I am in support of the proposed Van Dyke Road Tower that is currently being considered by the Town of Bethlehem Planning Board.

The Van Dyke Tower will positively impact and benefit Town of Bethlehem Residents, Business Owners and Commuters by providing seamless cellular coverage along the Delaware Avenue traffic corridor and in the western portions of Town.

Cellular coverage in the western areas of the Town of Bethlehem is currently deficient. The Van Dyke Road tower will enable residents who live, have businesses and commute in the Brockley Drive, the Mansions, Fisher Boulevard and Orchard Street areas, to be able to use their cellular phones inside their homes, businesses and cars.

Presently, over 3000 Town of Bethlehem residents are not able to utilize high speed, 3G cellular networks in their homes and businesses. They also drop phone calls when they travel along Delaware Avenue. This is unacceptable especially for a Town whose Comprehensive Plan is supportive of the Vista Technology Park a high Technology venture that the Town Planners want.

To make this project successful, we need a Town where ALL its residents can utilize high speed, 3G cellular networks in their homes, businesses and cars. Construction of the Van Dyke Road Tower will make this 21st century technology available to its residents.
