Voting Yes on Proposition 8, upholds that legal union should be between a man and a woman, and seeks to legally amend the California State Constitution previously allowed same sex marriages.

As an American Citizen, I would like to maintain democracy and all it's practices. In order to qualify for the ballot, Proposition 8 needed 694,354 valid petition signatures, equal to 8\% of the total votes cast for Governor in the November 2006 General Election. The initiative proponents submitted 1,120,801 signatures, and on June 2, 2008 it qualified for the November 4, 2008 election ballot through the random sample signature check. The lawful and legitimate execution of the proper steps were taken. Repealing this vote would be a violation of democracy. The American Majority has spoken in this case. Please show support for Democracy, by upholding the Yes Vote on Prop 8.

Sincerely,
