The fans of the 1993 cult film "The Crush" demand a special edition from Warner Brothers (A Time Warner Company) with Morgan Creek. We have come to realize that there are many scenes cut out. Some of them are very easy to find-they appear in the tv-edited (cable) version of the movie. We will not except your previous edition of "The Crush" with trailers for "Other Great Morgan Creek Movies" and an incomplete filmography list for only four stars in the movie. If you don't believe that the film is good enough to re-release on dvd, then look at it this way: Alicia Silverstone is starting a new tv show on NBC called "Miss Match" it would be the perfect way to advertise the new dvd that we (the fans) demand. The fans want:

-Deleted scenes including the ones shown on television, either placed back into the movie or available somewhere on the disk.
-Audio commentary with director/writer Alan Shapiro and/or star Alicia Silverstone.
-Behind the scenes footage and/or photo galleries of the set
-The MTV movie awards (1994) showing Alicia Silverstone winning the awards for "Best Villian" and "Best Breakthrough Performance".
-TV Spots and/or trailers for this cult favorite.
-Publicity gallary with cover art/sleeves/poster art from around the world.

You have such hot talant in the film:
-Alan Shapiro (Directed "Flipper")
-Alicia Silverstone (Went on to star in "Clueless" and other hits, now has a tv show)
-Amber Benson (Reoccuring roll in the hit tv series "Buffy the Vampire Slayer")
-Cary Elwes (Starred in 1992's "Dracula", and the 1997 comedy smash "Liar, Liar")
-Jennifer Rubin (Starred in the 1987 horror movie "Nightmare On Elm Street 3: The Dream Warriors" which was a huge hit)
-Kurtwood Smith (Stars in the huge huge Fox tv hit "That '70s Show" and many countless movies including "Girl, Inturrupted")
-Gwynyth Walsh (Reoccuring roll in the tv cop drama "NYPD-Blue" and a "Star Trek" movie and "Star Trek" is a huge success to Paramount.)

Please Warner Brothers and Morgan Creek: Stand by a movie that you've made. Why is it that "Jawanna Mann" gets a special edition set while "The Crush" is a barebones release? At the end, it's the fans that loose out. Unless, you respect us enough to give us a great dvd of "The Crush" with a retail price of $24.99.

    • This is a great idea. Most DVD's released have an extra 2-4 hours of director commentary, interviews with the cast and crew as well as special features and outakes. The current release has none of these.

    • The Crush is my favorite movie, i have bought the previous warner release dvd of the film, I can only hope and pray that warner will release a special edition cut of this film, cause there are a few deleted scenes that are shown in the television version, i believe that them scenes should all be added into the theatrical version making the crush its full feature running a bit longer then its original 89 minutes. Warner should also include the original theatrical trailer and tv spots would be nice, an audio commentary would be superb cause we know that this film was based on true events that happened to the director, would be nice to hear his full comments on that and the film itself, An isolated score track would be amazing, Graeme Revell's score to the film is incredible i love it, and have been wanting to get ahold of it for years now, and even a nice featurette to be included would be good. Myself and other fans would love this, so please warner if you did it for Empire Records you can do it for The Crush

    • Please don't release this utter tripe in another version. You are only providing this country with more junk that they can't recycle. Anyone else find it a little odd that the guy who made the movie made such a typical movie bereft of any new ideas and so boring and obvious and done-to-death and yet he was dumb enough not to change the actual name of the woman who supposedly did this to him? Why would I want to hear his views on anything? I wouldn't ask for his advice on buying dishwashing liquid, let alone how to write and direct a movie.

    • Don't listen to "Sam"! This is a really good movie and I feel that a company should stick behind all of their movies, even if it didn't get good numbers in theaters. (Like Ryan said) Fantastic! I really think this is one of the most fun an enjoyable movies of all time. It's Nick vs. Himself vs. Darian which is really a good thing to show everyone as really human. He feels torn between what's right and what's wrong until he discovers that Darian is really crazy. Please! Put this fantastic wonderful fun enjoyable movie on a better dvd! You did it for the poor reviewed and poor box office movie "Empire Records" and like Ryan said, "Jawanna Mann" gets a great dvd, and it's not that good of a movie! THE CRUSH is waaaaay better!

    • Well, WB, as you should be aware, it seems as if the same person who started the petition has signed it over and over because no one else could possibly be interested. It's pretty easy to add fake names to a petition like this and throw in phony email addresses. Someone is a little obssessed just like the poor acting of Ms. Silverstone attempts to convey. Luckily, 48 signatures won't make you take notice.
