    • Would love to be able to visit the country centres to visit relatives, do research etc. Fuel is expensive for long trips, and more pensioners could get out and enjoy our great country. Freight to these towns would also be able to be moved by train.

    • fuel is so expensive, train rides used to be so much fun as a kid and now days they would help pensioners get around and see more of the country and enjoy themselves more in these tough times

    • Many view the sale, and in some cases the removal of our regional and suburban passenger railways, as the single most destructive element to the future growth of our state. It is clear that the privatisation of these railways has had no benefit to any of the passenger services throughout S.A., It has destroyed the very fabric of passenger rail with the closing down of all the regional lines and stations that used to serve these communities, this lack of foresight is just one of the many reasons why so many people have turned away from public transport in the past 20 or so years.
