Hi, I'm a big fan of wii and I'd like to make a suggestion regarding online comunications.

It's sort of like a messenger service you can access by connecting your wiii to the internet.
And you can make/access a wii/nintendo account via the home menu then clicking the option for the service.
(maybe make it connect to your user on the nintendo website)

There you can change your icon into a picture of one of your miis, or a picture from an SD card, comunicate with your wii friends who are in the address book and add friends into the address book using this messenger feature. And make it so you get a notification if someone else is trying to add your wii to their address book.

When your registered friend comes online on his/her wii you will recieve a signal to tell you he/she has connected (e.g. a pic of their profile picture in the corner pops up for a few seconds, the blue wii light flashes a few times, or a sound)

You can talk to your friends using wii speak or keyboard while playing any game at all, as long as your wii has connected to the internet.
You start conversations by opening home menu - then the messenger service then clicking the person(s) you want to communicate with.

You can also view things like what game they are currently playing, the games they own and what their opinions are of wii merchandise (e.g. "I really like this game" or "I don't like this game at all") and show their friend codes to the wi-fi games they own such as mario kart wii, animal crossing and super smash brothers brawl.

So it's a way to be better connected to your friends who own a wii, while improving your own wii experience.
And if you don't want to use this service, you can just turn it off via the home menu or maybe uninstall it

Please take this idea into consideration and maybe add ideas of your own to this one.

    • Wii seriously needs to do something about their online capabilities. I think they should get rid of the 12 and 16 digit friend code thing to be able to chat or battle with ppl. I think that you should be able to decide if you want chat enabled or disabled when getting on Nintendo wifi and just hear who you want to.
