This petition is to get financial, and capital help for youth projects, initially on the Isle Of Wight, but ultimately nationwide.
We are asking anyone who feels strongly about the following to sign the petition.
Everyone moans these days about the increasing numbers of under 18s roaming the streets at night.
Lets take a minute to consider how many opportunities and places they have to go.
Lets face it, the youngsters either dont want to go to youth centres, or they close too early.
They therefore want to feel like they can go out for a good night out, and not have to find something to do afterwards.
TGPromotions.com have undertaken the task it seems no-one else feels important enough.
Using our already established links within the music community, we are setting up a series of music events aimed at under 18s.
As well as the music events we are in discussion with a record label, regarding offering the children opportunities to learn and develop new skills at DJ & MC workshops. We are also looking to offer photography classes to those interested, with the possibility of coming on placements with TGPromotions.com.
What we are looking for is Government backing of this non-profit project entitled Y18?
We have our eyes set on an old unused club at the moment that we feel would be ideal for youth work and nights out.
Please help us get the governments attention that more needs to be done.
We are aiming to ask for the council to release an old disused nightclub building.
The main aim is for it to be used during the day and early evenings for youth work and workshops.
We also plan for it to be a live and dance music venue at evenings and weekends.
Please support us in getting the government to realise that the youngsters are the future, and we should nurture and help them rather than badmouthing them. Opportunities not restrictions - Councils and Government, its time to listen to what the people think, and act on it!

- Youngpeopleshould be given the opportunity to focus their energies on an environment which is safe, entertaining and if possible educational, but at least recreational. Having an opportunity to explore the positive side of dance music early on, is a fantastic way to learn that dance music is about just that.. music and not drugs. TGP should be given the opportunity to develop this message at an early age, so that young people can focus their attitudes on the enjoyment of music and dancing, not drugs - in their adult life. In short, youngpeople should be given this opportunity to learn the dangers of the night scene early on.
