Dear World,
Please take into consideration this petition. Harry Potter, the new "fad" for books and movies is evil. Some people disagree saying, "Oh it is only a
harmless book". But what lurks behind those pages, it more evil then Harry Potter himself. Please help us band harry potter and read some of the comments made by children who have read these dreadful books. And please, read this one right below carefully, and reread it if you have to.

"And here is dear Ashley, a 9 year old, the typical average age reader of Harry Potter: "I used to believe in what they taught us at Sunday School," said Ashley, conjuring up an ancient spell to summon Cerebus, the three-headed hound of hell. "But the Harry Potter books showed me that magic is real, something I can learn and use right now, and that the Bible is nothing but Boring lies." age 9....what is this world coming to?

"I want to go to wizard school and learn magic. I'd like to learn to use a wand to cast spells." age 10

    • I think that all fantasy books aren't real, but some of them send out a bad message. If I were an author, I would try to say good stuff about Jesus and not use spells or potions because I believe that we aren't supposed to change the way the world is.

    • Well I don't really disagree because some kids do need books/movies like that...but if kids are thinking it's good to do evil....that's where I disagree...it's really being taking the wring way....they shouldnt be doing this...it's a book/movie...that was created for them to have great thoughts....not to want to use the spells and stuff!!!

    • Harry Potter is very demonic and I am so thankful but disappointed that it takes a 13 year old to realize how evil Harry Potter really is. In the book of Deuteronomy chapter 18, verses 10-12 God tells us specifically that any type of sorcery, witchcraft, and mediums are evil and those who practice them will be casted into the bottomless lake of fire (hell) !! It is about time that someone steps up and bands out the demonic harry potter and his "spells". In my opinion harry potter is a slap in God's face turning childeren and people of all ages to the lies that magic is real and Jesus and heaven are not.

    • I promise the majority of people signing this aren't 10 and 13. Harry Potter isn't bad you guys are f*ck*ng messed up if you really worry about this stuff. I'd read Harry Potter IN A CHURCH and i wouldn't go to hell because it's good literature. people like you all signing this have some serious problems and your life can't be happy if you worry about sh*t like this. J.K. Rowling is a billionaire and she always will be and kids will always read her works and it's great that everyone gets to read it and all these kids learn "evil" witchcraft. I have to go conjour a spell on my parents so I dont have to go to school tomorrow. i learned it in harry potter!! haha you all are f*cked up

    • This is completely rediculous. There are plenty of books like Harry Potter (Chronicles of Narnia, Lord of the Rings, etc.) that nobody cares about being evil or anything. That big list: Garbage. When they made the movies, they would be in trouble if it was as bad as you say and they rated it PG. Many of these things are largely exaggerated or nothing at all. Things like "Orders to Kill a Boy" are in plenty of Disney movies and stuff. Are you going to petition against them, too?

    • What is wrong with people? It CLEARLY states in the first amendment of the US Contstitution that we have the freedom of press! You CANNOT make people give up Harry Potter! My dad reads it and so do I, he loves it he doesn't think there's anything wrong with it! Besides, children are going to learn about these kind of things sometimes, so why not through a book!

    • Ya know, petitions like this both scare me, and make me laugh. Books are for the entertainment of the reader, or a passage of knowledge. And magic, as I have read, is not based around Devil worship. It is infact the opposite. It is based of respecting your gods, and doing spells and rituals to try and remedy things. To all those who are devil fearing. To believe in such a thing, is to give it power. May you all see the light of every path. Blessed be.

    • We have the freedom to read whatever we want! IT's not going to teach anyone real magic! if I take a wooden stick and say a spell, does anything happen??? NOO. Jesus would WANT us to read, he isn't a fundamentalist, like YOU people! And I would read it if GOD was watching over my shoulder. You could just say ALL fantasy books should be banned because it has magic in it, JEeZ! Its not a sin to read a book! And I WOULD want to go to hogwarts if there was a such thing. Man, why Is magic in books all of a sudden a crime? GIVE UP, you can't get rid of a book as famous as this! The people in harry potter do not worship the devil!! If they DID, they would join voldemort! But they want to RID of his evil..sometimes I just dont understand you crazy people. Why don't you go ahead and ban every single book and movie that has magic in it? HMM? Why do you want to be forced to such a non-imaginative world???????? You people are the kind of people that jesus wouldn't want!!! If he was alive still he could put sense into ya

    • JK Rowling has a CHARITY fund set up in Harry Potter's name. In case you didn't know. Is Harry Potter still evil? Is it? Why ain't you trying to ban scooby-doo? Isn't that really evil? (Monsters, witchcraft, ghosts, levitation, zombies, spirits, etc. etc.) Oh, and I don't think you've noticed, but. . .magic. Is. Not. Real. ::waves a stick:: LUMOS! ::nothing happens:: See? Why you stupid people do stupid stuff like this, I wonder. . .I also wonder why you're using God's word to spread hate. . .(yes, you are spreading hate, hate to Harry Potter). . .think about that. God doesn't want hate. If you don't like them, don't mention them entirely. I laugh at people like you. Which I'll do now. ::laughs at you and then reads harry potter:: Wait, i'm not wasting time with you. I'm going to start on my Harry Potter website. Sayonara, and amen to you if you finally recognize your own stupidity.

    • Ok, it's a freaking story! I'm a Christian, and I read the Harry Potter books and love them. So do my friends, who are also Christians. If I actually believed that the witches and sorcerers were real, that would be wrong, but it is merely a fiction story. So are you also saying books like Lord of the Rings is evil as well? That has magic and "demons" (the Balrog) and everything that Harry Potter does. And Lord of the Rings is certainly not evil, as it is written by a Christian author AND has a Christian Harry Ptheme to it. Since otter has the same elements to it as Lord of the Rings, how can it be evil? Peace...

    • DID ANY OF YOU EVER READ HARRY POTTER?!!! If you would of, you'd know what you were trying to ban. Harry Potter is a GREAT book, and no one ever can tell me other wise. And you probably never read the constitution either, because under the first admendment it gives us the freedom of speech, I also believe that the freedom of speech gives us, as americans if we should be allowed to put what ever we want in writing we should be able to READ what other people have to say. In their novels, news papers, etc...! If you would ban Harry Potter it'd be like killing the owl and freeing the dove.
