The traffic cameras in the Phoenix, AZ area are a tremendous waste of tax payer money and do nothing to keep the public safe. Additionally, they often cause drivers to brake sharply which is a serious hazard to other motorists. The cameras have been proven to often be wrong in identifying traffic violations. Their only purpose is to allow the state to gain more money. We the undersigned demand that they be removed immediately. We also demand that a law be passed banning their use in Arizona.

- I've witnessed numerous abrupt stops at red lights - highly dangerous - I was also fined twice by Chandler camera where the city had changed the duty cycle on the yellow signal from 4 seconds to 1 second - there was a class action lawsuit regarding the duty-cycle comment and the irresponsible action on part of Chandler city administrators cause me to run two red lights, hence they created a dangerous condition for the sake of generating revenue for the city.

- The use of cameras has not been proven to either save lives or cost effective. Rather, imposes questional enforsement.

- I just got one of their tickets, went online to view the video-because I know I wasn't speeding. The cars to either side of me were. What a scam this is! First, if you pay it-they won't notify the DMV or your insurance. BUT if you dispute it and go to court, they will AND you would still have to pay not just the ticket, but court costs as well! Not to mention the cost of going back there to appear in court. I live a few hundred miles away.

- The camera's are consistantly inaccurrate with motorcycle speed's. I have noticed on occassion that when I am on my bike, the radar reads 5-6 m.p.h. higher than I am actually showing on my speedometer. For instance, Priest at 4th street. I get flashed on average 3-6 a month for going suppossedly too fast!!!
