We, the members of the Dead or Alive Fan Forum, recently have been made aware of an inexcusable act of discrimination against Pete Burns, committed on the premises of the Villa Serena Clinic by individuals who, not only for reasons of profession, but also on religious, spiritual and basic humanitarian grounds, might be expected to be beyond such prejudice.

The Dead or Alive Fan Forum family stands solidly opposed to discrimination of any kind, and though we are usually swift in coming together to move against ignorance, fear and unwarranted hatred, this, only the latest example of bigotry faced by Pete Burns, is so fundamentally wrong that, until now, it simply has left the Forum stunned.

We hope that by signing this petition, and leaving you our individual comments, we will be able to impress upon you the depth and scope of the injustice with which Pete Burns was turned away from treatment at Villa Serena, and convince you that no being's appearance should ever be reason enough to deny them dignity or respect, let alone proper medical care.

We thank you for your time and consideration.

    • Com'on, people.....besides the OBVIOUS human rights issue, his money is as good as anyone else's. At LEAST give your patients that. I don't mean to sound rude in saying this, but by denying Mr. Burns treatment you have made yourselves look highly unprofessional.

    • I find myself both outraged and perplexed at the recent treatment of Pete Burns at your clinic. To turn someone away because of the way they choose to look, and when emergency treatment is needed, is truly unforgivable. I hope it will be gods own will to bring this truly apalling error out in the open and prevent this kind of discimination from ever happening again at the Villa Serena.

    • This type of discrimination is unacceptable: even two of my associates who are in the priesthood were dismayed to learn of this sad incident. They assured me that the Villa Serena incident does not reflect the attitude of modern Catholicism.

    • It is a shame when the preachers of morality deni a person of needed medical assistance because of his or her appearance. I was raised in the church believing that it doesn't matter what a person looks like on the outside, but what is on the inside is what counts.

    • To refuse ANYONE medical treatment is deplorable. To do it based on appearance is archaic, shameful and has to be a joke, considering the times we live in. Anyone involved in such activity should be deeply ashamed, get an education, and be disciplined to the fullest extent of the law. I am very saddened to hear of this incident, and demand it never happen again to another individual. You owe Pete Burns a sincere and lengthy explanation, apology and restitution. Please take care to realize what you have done and never let it happen again.

    • To the team at Villa Serena, I am shocked by the way you have treated Mr.Burns.This is truely a horrid event. You have made him suffer and he will probably for years to come both mentally and psyically. The team at Villa Serena should be ashamed for there actions. The wrath of God will come upon you for your actions.Should your nuns still read the bible may i suggest they read Romans 14.4 and Matthew 7.1.I feel your team is useless and needs a complete re-evaluation.Villa Serena is known for its impeccable reputation ,however I see you as unprofessional ,dirty and cruel.Face your own demons and dont worry about someones lifestyle .You rejected the innacent ,You now have to face yourselves with that. The team at Villa Serena is in need of great change .Regards,CHIP

    • I feel like the discrimination towards Pete by the Villa Serena Clinic is totally and completely wrong and inhumane. I feel like everyone, no matter race, ethniticy or appearance should be entitled to the same medical treatment, no matter where you are or what you have. Furthermore, I feel like Pete is owed more than just an apology. The acts that the Villa Serena Clinic , to me, should be a disgrace to Italy. Pete, I wish you the best. Take care and things will work out for you. Best Regards, Jaimie

    • I am stunned at the blatant and inhumane comments directed at Mr. Pete Burns while seeking medical attention at your facility. The judgement you placed against Mr. Burns appearence was ignorant, rude and unwarrented. Mr. Burns was there seeking medical attention, healing and solace, something which every human being is entitled to, and in place of that you showed him no hospitality, help, or attention. I am disgusted that a "Christian" or "Religious" faciltiy continues to base their business and operations on ignorance. As it is also stated by Christ "If a place does not show you hospitality, you will shake the sand from your sandles." Continuing to do this to not only Mr. Burns, but also to others that do not fit your description of human will only cause grief and bankruptcy to yourselves. I beleive a public apology is due to Mr. Burns and a re-examination of your beliefs is in order.
