Loveline's Adam Carolla shows Hate for Hawaiians

On more than one occasion, Mr. Adam Carolla has repeatedly referred to Hawaiians and Hawaii residents in a derogatory manner on his radio show, Loveline. With his co-host Dr. Drew Pinsky, Mr. Carolla has referred to Hawaiians as stupid, retarded, lazy, and as the worlds dumbest people. He has also called Hawaii residents as in-bred. Even though Mr. Carolla might not have meant it in an offensive manner, it is these statements that can generate a social stigma. They convey a sense of intolerance and narrow-mindedness against a group of people. Mr. Corollas comments not only create and enforce horrible stereotypes of Hawaiians and the people of Hawaii, but also foster hate and discrimination to a nation wide audience. And it is this ignorance that can lead to violence.

We, the undersigned, strongly oppose the racist statements said by Mr. Adam Carolla on his radio show, Loveline.

We are offended and appalled that blatant racist comments can be made on national media.

We fail to see how a show created for helping people deal with issues on sex, love, and health can support bigotry and hatred

We demand for Mr. Adam Corollas termination from Loveline.

Hate is not a value that should be taught.

Racism is something the world does not need.

- I am not Hawaiian. I am full Chinese raised in Hawaii. I know many Hawaiians that are very nice and are well-educated people. Hawaiians do not deserve this kind of racism. This is the United States and we are all equal. I STRONGLY suggest that he must apologize to the people of Hawaii. Thank you very much. Mahalo.

- Upon reading Mr. Carolla's comments, I was nothing short of outraged! It is this kind of ignorance and small mindedness that makes our nation so corrupt. As a Native Hawaiian myself, I am disgusted with the fact that Mr. Carolla, and some of his other listeners for that matter, found his malicious comments to be funny. His misguided and misinformed interrpretations of the state of Hawai'i and it's people leave me to believe that he is nothing more than ignorant and narrow minded himself.

- It is obvious that Mr. Corolla is not only completely ignorant of the richness of life outside of his own deluded and shallow existence, but is pathetically unaware that he is truly the "dumb" individual. While the people of Hawaii are part of a beautiful and wholesome culture, they are very knowledgable on life all over the world, as Hawaii is a place where an enormously diverse group of people coincide. They are passionate and devoted to preserving their lifestyle as well as sharing the beauty of the place in which they live with others. Now, "close your eyes and picture all the great things ADAM COROLLA has done over the years. (Long pause)....uh...you know, absolutely nothing. Mr. Corolla has proved his worthlessness by instigating harsh and unnecessary criticism of other people whom he does not genuinely know anything about. I really wish that he would actually start being funny and make an effort to put on a good show instead of wasting good air time.
