MTV has pulled the plug on Total Request Live which drastically reduces the amount of videos they actually play. This show was a big part of my teen years. This show introduced me to pop culture and to the spirit of the time. This is the final straw that will probably break MTV. When they value "The Hills" and all those crappy "Reality shows" over a staple of their lineup.

    • MTV meant a lot to music. It was the spotlight of everything surrounding the industry. People didn't watch it every single day, but they always wanted to go back to it. I had dreams of going to TRL and getting love from the crowd in New York. The energy of trl match that of a concert that the world could see. News, information, and rumors were laid to rest here. Magazine is one thing, but TRL was like magazine interviews and a concert all in one. Please bring back what made the music industry so much more exciting. TRL.

    • please bring it back, mtv has ruined everything, now in days all they have is stupid reality tv shows and weird perverted series, such as skins. i mean what's up with that? Back in the 80's mtv was the big deal, when music videos such as madonna , michael jackson were aired. But now without music programs, it pretty much sucks.

    • MTV needs to bring back TRL if not to at least have music but to get rid of at least one reality show, preferably Jersey Shore. Plus it would work great if a comeback coincided with the revival of Beavis and Butthead.

    • bring back trl. trl is one of the awesome shows on mtv. now mtv put music videos early in the morning. now they aired reilty shows. IT'S MUSIC TELEVISION NOT RTV: REALITY TELEVISION!!! i gonna say that some shows are good. mtv bring back beavis and butt-head, why not trl? and bring back carson daly as the host of trl. please mtv, bring it back.
