Aion, a MMORPG is currently using the "cheat" protection software, GameGuard developed by nProtect. This may sound good on paper, but in reality it's a mess.

- GameGuard randomly crashes your client
- GameGuard makes keyboards like Logitech G13/15 or any other similar hardware useless, since it's blocking it.
- Several softwares are being blocked by GameGuard, e.g. Google Chrome, TweetDeck, etc.
- The weak protection can EASILY be bypassed
- + many more negative reasons

In the end loyal players that obey the rules are the victims. Hackers/cheaters on the other side can play this game without any problems caused by GameGuard.

    • I've had more problems with GameGuard than I care to comment on. Ventrillo, Media player classic and Google chrome to name a few. Bots have no problems bypassing Gameguard, but legit players have their security compromised thanks to gameguard. Technically, Gameguard is considered a rootkit. Please, for the sake of your customers remove Gameguard.

    • I cannot play at all since GameGuard is closing my client every 5 minutes. I use a G13 gamepad and Razer mouse, and I am unwilling to go without these accesories in order to play Aion. You have a great game on your hands, please don't ruin it by using shoddy software to try to 'protect' your userbase from hacking/cheating.
