To the Leaders of the Main Political Parties in the Republic of Ireland.
We, the concerned people of Ireland, being proud of our country, its history and its heritage and proud what we have already achieved to date, together with our Diaspora of citizens abroad and along with our new friends and neighbours from other countries who now live amongst us and all of us being hardworking and proud of what we have achieved to date and what we can achieve for this small nation now implore and call upon the leaders of the political parties of this nation to put aside their petty squabbling, tiresome self interest, jaded party political point scoring and damaging confrontations and to give this country the pride of place (over their parties) which it deserves. Put our country first and your party last. Our country should always be your first priority.
We are prepared to equitably and proportionately share the burden of whatever extra cost may be necessary to remediate and restore our public finances and to bring us through the current domestic and international ecomonic recession, banking crisis and all of the ills that currently befall us.
We now call upon you to enter into immediate discussions with a view to either agreeing a joint financial plan to be implemented fully between now and the next general election or with a view to forming at the earliest possible opportunity a National Government of Common Understanding and Agreement for the benefit of all of the people of Ireland and to implement common agreed joint policies for the benefit of Ireland and all of her people and to show that we are fully capable of tackling the problems which we currently face and that we will successfully tackle those problems and restore confidence and pride in this country of ours.
Nн neart go cur le chйile.

- I agree - together as one for the sake of saving our Country from financial disaster - lets demonstrate our feelings outside Irish Consulates across the globe especialy here in USA - wake up our politicans and drive for change to save our proud Island of birth.....Now is the time before its too late. The depressed Country of the Mid 80s that witnessed mass emigration (I was one) is now coming back to haunt us and possible worse this time - Lets organize and do it now - Any comments?

- The same stubborn invincible spirit that has kept us battling for the last 8 hundred will see us through if we pull together for the good of the country, stop politicking and "Get Your Boots On."

- All polititions including County Councillors should immediately take a 20 percent pay cut . This would demonstrate leadership.
