Stop uitsluiting Actief Linkse Studenten!

Op donderdag 12 mei zal het Bestuurscollege van de Universiteit Gent beslissen over de mogelijke uitsluiting van de Actief Linkse Studenten.

Aan:
Leden van het Bestuurscollege, Raad van Bestuur en Sociale Raad van de UGent.
Alle studenten en personeelsleden van de UGent.

Bij deze protesteer ik tegen de dreigende uitsluiting van de Actief Linkse Studenten (uit het PFK van de UGent).

Ik vraag uitdrukkelijk om de huidige procedure stop te zetten en een inhoudelijk debat met de vertegenwoordigers van de ALS aan te gaan, mede in het kader van de Antidiscriminatieverklaring van de UGent van 16 januari 2004.

Par la suivante je proteste contre la menace dexclusion d Actief Linkse Studenten (hors du PFK de luniversitй de Gand). Je demande formellement que soit mis fin а la procйdure ayant cours et а la mise sur pied dun dйbat approfondi avec les reprйsentants dALS, cela йgalement dans le cadre de la Dйclaration Anti-discrimination de lUniversitй de Gand du 16 janvier 2004.

The board of directors' of Ghent university will, at its meeting of Monday 12 May, decide whether or not to exclude 'Aktief Linkse Studenten' (ALS or Active Left Students).

To:
The members of the Management Committee, the Board of Directors', and the Social Council of Ghent University.
All students and members of academic and non-academic staff at Ghent University.

I am signing this petition to protest against the impending expulsion of ' Actief Linkse Studenten ' (from the PFK)

I ask you to halt the ongoing procedure and to engage in a debate, with representatives of ALS, in the wider context of the anti-discrimination proclamation published by the university on 16 January 2004.

    • Het is vreemd dat nog nooit zoveel racistische sprekers een forum aangeboden krijgen aan de Ugent als nu, dus na de veroordeling door de rechtbank wegens racisme. Dat terwijl het rectoraat de afwezigheid van een uitspraak van een rechtbank over het VB altijd had gebruikt als argument om niets te moeten doen. Het toont alleen aan dat de antidiscriminatie verklaring van de Ugent op dit moment niet meer is dan een vod papier
