WETA, the local PBS station, is a vital information source and educational institute in the Washington DC area. Many Washingtonians watch WETA for un-biased and in-depth news, as well as high quality educational and entertaining programs.We also support WETA with our contributions. WETA has HD program with very good resolution. All cable television companies, such as Comcast, Cox, Verizon and Dishnetwork, carry HD WETA, EXCEPT DirecTV. DirecTV carries HD PBS stations in cities like New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, Houston, and even somewhere in Iowa,but not Washington DC. DirectTV says it will offer HD WETA only if there is demand.
